MADISON, WI (WHBL) - All three of Sheboygan County's state Assemblymen voted in favor of Governor Scott Walker's tax cut plan when it was up for a vote Tuesday.

Dan LeMahieu of Cascade said Assembly Republicans wanted to make a quick statement saying the projected state budget surplus deserves to go back to the taxpayers and not be spend by the government in Madison.  He feels that it would be better for the private sector to grow instead of government, and the tax cuts will do that.

Mark Endsley of Sheboygan said the vote was a sign that the state government wanted to return money to taxpayers, and is good news for the state in general.

The proposal’s future in the Senate remains uncertain because some Republicans are worried about the package adding to the state’s structural deficit, but LeMahieu is optimistic it will pass before the current legislative session ends.
