SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - State Senator Glenn Grothman would like to see more tax cuts passed by the state legislature this fall. His latest request comes following a recent report that showed the state took in 71 million dollars more than anticipated in the last fiscal year.
On Sheboygan’s Morning News last week, Grothman said the new cuts could focus on property tax relief, which he sees will increase in some areas of the state next year. He says using 30 to 40 million dollars of state funds should keep all property taxes in the state lower next year.
Grothman said he would be very disappointed if the Assembly or Senate does not hold discussion on a possible tax cut in the next few months.
