SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Motorists who use Highway 42 on the north side of Sheboygan have another traffic hurdle to deal with.
City Superintendent of Streets and Sanitation Joel Kolste said the city’s Public Works Department will be installing an asphalt overlay over the existing pavement of Calumet Drive between North 25th Street south to Main Avenue. They will also repair several manholes on this stretch of roadway.
The project will force various lanes to close at different times along with periodic traffic delays. At the very least, one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic. The project is expected to be completed by September 27.
This new roadwork adds to the current lane restrictions on Highway 42 due to the Rails to Trails project.
