SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Greenbush man is under arrest for allegedly injuring a passenger in a drunk driving crash.
36-year-old Joseph Vicker faces one count each of OWI causing injury and driving with a revoked license causing great bodily harm.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies responded to Scenic View Drive at Center Road in Greenbush at around 12:30 in the morning on Saturday for a report of a vehicle crash. When deputies arrived, EMS was already on the scene treating Vicker and the passenger. Vicker allegedly told deputies that he had missed his turn. Deputies examined the scene, and say it looked like Vicker had failed to stop for a stop sign, and drove head on into the ditch.
Vicker was given a sobriety test which he allegedly failed. Deputies say a breath test at the scene put his blood alcohol content at .153.
The female passenger was taken to St. Nicolas Hospital in Sheboygan with severe injuries.
Vicker is currently free on a $2,500 cash bond. He'll be back in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
