SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Time is running out on your chance to weigh in on the future of Sheboygan.
The city's Community Survey is winding down, and it's your chance to help the Council do budget and long term planning. City administrator Darryl Hoffland says the survey's results will be combined with other data collected by city staff. "That would be an additional source of information for the common council and the management team as they meet."
The online survey covers a large number of topics, and asks residents to give their input on what the city is doing well, what it could work on, what parts of the city need improvement and much more. The survey also asks for any advice residents might have for staff. Hoffland says those sorts of responses can be very useful to staff. "Sometimes you get ideas you'd never thought about before, and it can really change what you're planning."
Hoffland adds that the information that the city gathers is vital to make sure they're doing the job that people want them to do. "We recognize we have limited resources, we need to make sure that the money the city spends is focused on the priorities of the community."
