SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man is under arrest after a suspected OWI crash.
Police were called out to the 3200 block of Geele Avenue early Sunday morning for a report of a hit and run crash. When they arrived, they found two vehicles that had crashed at the scene. Police say a man swerved across the road and struck an unoccupied van head on. He then allegedly tried to leave the scene, but his car gave out before he could get away.
Police performed field sobriety tests on the man, which he allegedly failed, and he was taken into custody for first time OWI and hit-and-run.
The 44-year-old Sheboygan man has not been identified pending formal charges from the DA's office. The crash remains under investigation.
