SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man is heading to prison after reaching a plea deal on OWI charges.
53-year-old Mark Kolar was sentenced this week to four years in prison after pleading no contest to 7th time OWI. Several other charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.
Kolar was arrested in January after being involved in a single vehicle crash near Workers Water Street Park. According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a crash on January 26th to find Kolar leaving the scene of the crash with a bottle of liquor. Police also say he appeared intoxicated when they talked with him. He tried to tell officers that he was a passenger in the vehicle, but several eyewitnesses saw him being the only person in the vehicle.
Under the plea deal, Kolar will also spend four years on extended supervision, and lose his license for three years once he's released.
