SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- Sheboygan police are reminding residents of the fireworks ban in the city.
Police say the ban extends to everything that is manufactured and packaged to explode, emit smoke or sparks, and that doesn't have another use. That does include ground displays and other fireworks that don't leave the ground.
Fireworks are illegal in the city, even if they were purchased somewhere else where it's legal to buy them. If you're caught shooting of fireworks, it could net you a $250 dollar fine. If kids are caught lighting of fireworks, the parents may face that fine instead.
