Preserve Sheboygan History With Scan Day At Mead Library

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- Residents who have pieces of Sheboygan history tucked away in their homes are being encouraged to bring it in to be scanned at Mead Public Library today.

It's part of the library's History Scan Day in connection with the county Historical Society. The program takes pictures and scans of things like old memorabilia and photos of parades and other events connected with Sheboygan's history.

The items you're bringing in to be scanned need to be owned personally and have some connection with the past of Sheboygan. Examples offered on the library's website include family mementos like school banners or old advertisements or photos of activities at the Sheboygan Armory, or more.

Scan day runs today from 9 am to 8 pm, but you should make an appointment before you come in. Find out more online at http://www.meadpl.org/sheboygan-history-scan-days or by calling 459-3400 ext. 3422.
