SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man will spend time in jail after taking a plea deal on pot dealing charges.
21-year-old Joseph Geibel-Keesler pleaded no contest to one count each of possession with intent to deliver THC and possession of methamphetamine. Several other charges were dismissed but read into the record. Judge Timothy Van Akkeren sentenced him to nine months in jail and thirty-six months of probation.
Police say a man arrested during a traffic stop in February told police he'd been buying pot from Geibel-Kessler and 18-year-old Austin Spittel. Police arrested Geibel-Kessler at the Grand Stay in Sheboygan, and during a search of the hotel room, officers found over half a kilogram of marijuana, as well as methamphetamine.
Geibel-Kessler later talked to police and admitted that he'd been selling pot along with Spittel from the hotel room and that the meth was his.
Spittel was arrested later and is facing the same charges at Geibel-Kessler. He is currently free on a $500 cash bond and will be back in court for a motion hearing on May 25th.
