SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Plymouth man is facing charges after being arrested for OWI.
53-year-old Richard Kubish has been charged with 7th time OWI and driving after revocation.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to County Road E around 12:45 pm on April 14th for a report of a car swerving in and out of traffic. A deputy got behind the vehicle, and was able to observe the driver nearly run another car off the road. The deputy made a traffic stop and got Kubish out of the vehicle.
Kubish denied doing any drinking that evening, but allegedly admitted to taking several medications that day. The deputy asked if any were narcotic, and Kubish denied that, but testing at the scene and a later blood draw suggested he was on painkillers.
Kubish remains in custody on a $7,500 cash bond and will be back in court today for a status conference. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
