SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan woman is no longer facing charges in connection to the burglary of two businesses on Sheboygan’s south side back in 2011.
Online court records show Sheboygan County prosecutors requested the dismissal of charges against 26 year old Jasmine Risler Monday, which Judge Angela Sutkiewicz agreed to. The request came after the defense submitted what is known as “Denny” evidence, meaning there is evidence that could create a “legitimate tendency” that another person could have committed the crime.
Risler was facing two counts of burglary for allegedly entering the Happy Hearts and Handprints Childcare Center and Playa Acapulco in December of 2011, which resulted in the theft of a safe and cash.
The charges were not issued until April of this year after a hair root examined at the State Crime Lab was connected to Risler.
