TOWN OF PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - A barn is considered a total loss due to a fire Thursday night.
Plymouth Fire Chief Denis Fellows said the initial call came in just before 11:15 p.m. at W4681 County Road C in the Town of Plymouth east of Highway 57. “Upon officers arrival before we got there, they informed us that it was fully engulfed.”
Despite calling other departments for mutual aid from Cascade, Elkhart Lake, Greenbush, Johnsonville, Kohler, the City of Sheboygan Falls and the Town of Sheboygan Falls, the barn could not be saved with farm equipment and hay destroyed.
As for what caused the fire, Fellows says an investigation is ongoing. “It was unintentional. It may have been possibly caused by a heating lamp.”
He adds no injuries were reported.
