SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will spent 15 days in jail for physically hurting a former girlfriend earlier this year.
18 year old Mitchell Weber entered no contest pleas to battery, sending threatening computer messages, and bail jumping charges Friday.
Judge Terence Bourke found him guilty, and sentenced him to the jail time. That includes 75 additional days of jail time, but that was stayed, and two years probation, which was withheld.
Weber was charged in late March after he strangled and bit an ex-girlfriend at the apartment the two shared in Oostburg. About a month later, Weber was found to have sent text and a Twitter message to the victim, violating his bail.
A charge of strangulation was dropped as part of the plea deal reached with prosecutors.
