SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - More people are working in Sheboygan County, but the area’s unemployment rates rose last month.
The latest figures from the Department of Workforce Development released Wednesday show 100 jobs were added in Sheboygan County in June when compared to May.
However, the unemployment rates for both the City of Sheboygan and Sheboygan County rose by one-tenth of a percent last month; four-point-six and four-point-one respectively.
Our area was not alone when it came to increases in unemployment rates. The majority of counties, large cities and metro areas saw a small jump in unemployment, along with the state of Wisconsin as a whole.
