Sheboygan, WI (WHBL) – Gilberto Martinez reportedly admits to Sheboygan Police that he has been “huffing paint” since the age of 17.
That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Sheboygan County Court Tuesday.
Martinez , who is now age 44, also says that he got off work last Friday and huffed a whole can of gold metallic spray paint on a local beach.
This might explain why his own brother called police later that day, when he caught Martinez huffing an aerosol can inside their Georgia Avenue home. The brother claims that Martinez has been seen huffing spray paint several times a week lately. He says the family has been trying to get Martinez to kick the habit, but he refuses to get help.
Martinez was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of intentional abuse of a hazardous chemical.
If convicted, he could face up to nine months in prison and a $10,000 fine.
