Sheboygan WI (WHBL) - Eau-Claire based Menards is pulling vinyl flooring products that contain phthalates from it store shelves.
The company is now joining a growing list of major retailers responding to pressure from public interest groups which have called for removal of products containing the toxic chemical- citing safety concerns.
Early this year, Lowes and Home Depot announced plans to discontinue selling the products by the end of 2015.
Menards operates store locations throughout the Midwest, including the northside Sheboygan location on Vanguard Drive.
