SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will spend several years in prison for making his teenage niece watch an adult movie. Judge Angela Sutkiewicz ordered 43 year old Cory Anderson Wednesday to serve three years in prison, followed by three years extended supervision.
The sentence came after Anderson pleaded no contest in May of causing a child to watch a sexual activity.
The prosecution and defense had recommended for Anderson to be sentenced to three years of probation, with conditions that he serve 12 months in jail and get proper counseling, after a charge of second-degree sexual assault of a child was dismissed.
However, Judge Sutkiewicz agreed with a pre-sentence investigation that found Anderson was unaware of how his actions to his then 14 year old niece had impacted her, and a stronger sentence was necessary.
Anderson was charged after his niece accused him of watching an adult movie and allegedly inappropriately touching her during two visits to his home in June of 2014.
