SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Kids and teenagers in the Sheboygan area have a chance to get free meals over the next six weeks.

For the second year in a row the Sheboygan Area School District has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Sheboygan County, United Way of Sheboygan County, and Nourish to give children who need a hot breakfast or lunch the chance to get it free.

District Nutrition Operations Supervisor Stacey Richter tells WHBL News nine school buildings will host as meal sites Monday thru Thursday through July 30th.  "We have breakfast at five elementary schools from 7:45 to 8:15, and we’re also serving lunch (from) 11:45 to 12:15," says Richter.  North and South high schools will serve both meals from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m., while Central High and the Early Learning Center will serve lunch only.

Richter says the meals are open to anyone who is in the area on the day they are served.  "So if somebody has a cousin visiting from out of state they can participate also," says Richter.  "There’s no eligibility requirements.  Nobody needs to sign up."

Richter says the meals will be paid for by federal tax funds.
