Sheboygan WI, (WHBL) - At a time that questionable policing tactics or controversies involving police make national headlines, it is refreshing to take a pause for those little elements in the daily lives of law enforcement officers that citizens rarely hear about. This is one such case.
Sheboygan Police Officer Tim Anhalt was likely unaware that his photo was being snapped last Friday, as he stopped along a Sheboygan Street during his patrol duties.
Look closely at the above photo. That’s no hardened criminal being apprehended by cops. It’s a six year kid who was trying his level best to fix a tire on his hot new bike. Also observe that the child was alone in the area working on the bike when the officer happened upon the scene.
Officer Anhalt pulled up to the child, took the time to work on that stubborn tire, and helped to get the boy back on his way to conquer the streets and sidewalks of his neighborhood.
If only a police body camera were available to capture this exchange.
