Sheboygan County, WI (WHBL) - Elizabeth WIdder of Sheboygan Falls couldn’t contain her exuberance if she wanted to, during the annual Fairest of the Fair at Laack’s Ballroom, in Johnsonville.
Widder is now the reigning Sheboygan County 2015 “ Fairest of the Fair.” She was selected from among four young ladies who competed for the post that was previously held by the 2014 winner, Danielle Navis.
Navis crowned her successor and wished her luck, as Elizabeth embarks upon what is expected to be a very busy summer, promoting the fair.
Elizabeth says she was actually shocked to win Fairest, and is equally honored. “What was going through my mind was, Oh my goodness! I can’t believe this day has actually come, because I have been dreaming about this for very long - and the fair has always been a part of my family. So, it’s truly an honor to serve as your 2015 Sheboygan County Fairest of the Fair,” she says.
Kimberly Beck of Plymouth, Shannon McCabe of Sheboygan, Sarah Schalk of Waldo, all competed in this year’s event.
The 2015 Sheboygan County Fair begins on September 3rd, and runs through the 7th.
