SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Cascade woman will not serve jail time for allowing a dog to die at her former house.
40 year old Kimberly Fidlin received her sentence last week after she was found guilty in May of intentionally abandoning an animal, plus failing to provide food and adequate shelter. Judge Terence Bourke stayed six months of jail time for Fidlin, but she will serve six years on probation and must perform 75 hours of community service.
Fidlin was charged back in 2014 after a dog she had owned was found dead at her home that was foreclosed on the previous year. Fidlin had told law enforcement she could not care for the animal any longer.
