SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - A number of area non-profit groups have recently received grants from the Alliant Energy Foundation.
Partners for Community Development Inc. in Sheboygan, the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan, Sheboygan County Reads, and Friends of Camp Anokijig Inc. of Plymouth, are some of the eighteen organizations in Wisconsin receiving more than 27-thousand dollars from the utility.
Chris DuPré says the money will be spent as the group so wishes. "They kind of gave us the parameters of what they’re looking for and how they’re going to use the money in their grant applications. So our supplying that grant is basically an endorsement of what they’ve given us."
DuPré says the groups given grants have a focus on helping families, education, and the environment.
