SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A court hearing Thursday was the latest development over the future of an Oostburg area dog kennel. Kinship Companions is suing the Town of Wilson for its decision to revoke the kennel’s conditions use permit.
Judge Angela Sutkiewicz set a status conference for July 23, giving lawyers for both parties at least two months to submit information for the lawsuit.
The town says Kinship broke codes and permit conditions with the number of adult dogs at the business, along with failures to submit veterinary and inspection reports.
Owner Christy Tuchel told WHBL News earlier this year Kinship has done its part to follow the rules and regulations needed to operate. She claims the town has not acted in good faith when the permit renewal process began last fall, resulting in the business losing its license.
