TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - One family was evacuated from their home Wednesday night due to a gas leak in the town of Sheboygan.
Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Jason Liermann says a gas meter was struck shortly after 11 o'clock in the 2500 block of Indiana Avenue. A gas company was able to cap the gas leak one hour later.
In addition to the evacuation, law enforcement blocked off traffic between South 20th Street and Taylor Drive for about two hours as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
