Unemployment rates down again in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - October was another good month for employment and job growth in Sheboygan County.

The Department of Workforce Development says the Sheboygan metro area saw 400 more people employed last month, and has seen 900 more people with jobs compared to October of last year.  As for the unemployment rates, the City of Sheboygan’s dropped two-tenths of a percent to 4.8, while Sheboygan County’s dropped one-tenth to 3.9.

Across the state a majority of counties, major cities and metro areas saw unemployment drops in October.  Wisconsin as a whole has its unemployment rate at 5.4-percent, its lowest rate since before the Great Recession.
