SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The process to balance Sheboygan County’s 2015 budget continues on in committee. As of this week, decisions are still being made on how to close a $1.4 million deficit.
On WHBL's Sheboygan’s Morning News Wednesday, County Administrator Adam Payne said it’s challenging, but their top goal is to keep property taxes in line with what new construction will allow for increasing revenue. With new construction growing at 0.72 percent, Payne said the increase in property taxes should be less than one-percent.
The budget will be presented to the county board and the public at the board’s October meeting, with a public hearing set for the following week.
