SHEBOYGAN, Wis.(WHBL) - A Michigan man has been formally charged in connection with a high speed police chase which began in Sheboygan County on Sunday night and ended in Brown County. According to the criminal complaint filed yesterday, 18 year old Ray Gidean-John Potter had stolen the Ford Mustang in Illinois and fled northbound on I-43. Sheboygan County was notified and began the chase which reached speeds of 120 miles an hour in the Cedar Grove area. Authorities said the tires on the fleeing vehicle were spiked twice in Sheboygan County and again in Manitowoc County, and by the time the car got to Brown County is was running on the rims. Authorities said after Gidean-John Potter was returned to Sheboygan County he told deputies he was going to pull over but decided to see how far he could make it. He’s now facing up to 3 and a half years in prison, if convicted.
