SHEBOYGAN, Wis.(WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is facing felony child abuse charges for injuries suffered by his 2-month old son. 26 year old Charles Blindauer was recently arrested on a charge of physical abuse of a child following an investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department. The child was hospitalized on December 9th with a head injury and various bruises and was examined by a doctor from Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee who found evidence of a healing fracture and concluded the injuries were consistent with significant physical abuse. When investigators questioned Blindauer he said the head injury may have occurred when the infant slipped from his grasp and struck his head on a foldout table in the family home.
