
SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County’s unemployment rates improved last month. The Department of Workforce Development says the Sheboygan metro area did lose 200 jobs from April to May, but there are 400 more workers when compared to May of last year. As a result, the unemployment rate for both the City of Sheboygan and Sheboygan County are down one-tenth of a percent from April to six and 4.9-percent, respectfully. Across the state, most counties, cities and metro area did see unemployment rates drop last month. As for Wisconsin as a whole, the unemployment rate dropped for a ninth straight month to 5.7 percent.
