PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - Congrats goes out to a group of Plymouth High School student chefs as they placed second Thursday in this year’s Whipping up Wellness Wisconsin Student Chef Competition. Their stuffed green pepper recipe was only beaten by a wild rice quiche recipe put together by Grantsburg High School students.
This was the second year for this event put on by the state Department of Public Instruction. Plymouth also made the finals last year and placed fourth.
The student recipe, plus a few others from Plymouth’s culinary arts and food science students, has been incorporated by the school’s food service program.
