SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Unemployment rates in the city and county of Sheboygan increased from October to November. The latest figures from the Department of Workforce Development put the city rate at 7.5 percent, nearly a full percentage point higher than in October. The county rate was 5.9 percent compared to 5.4. Both rates are still well below year ago levels and follow a state-wide trend of increasing unemployment in November. The report shows there were 57,300 people working last month - 300 more than in October, but still 300 fewer than one year ago. Of the state’s 72 counties, all but three had rate increases between October and November.
