ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (WHBL) - Fire of undetermined origin Thursday destroyed a home in the town of Rhine. Lt. John Detienne, of the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department, said they received a 911 call shortly after 1:30 p.m. that a garage on Ridge Creek Road, at the home of Kevin and Sue Oleck, was on fire. By the time Elkhart Lake firefighters arrived on the scene, the attached garage was fully engulfed and the fire was spreading to the house. Detienne said 10 volunteer departments responded, but the blaze eventually consumed the entire house. He said there were no injuries and the family is being assisted by the Red Cross. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
