SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Schools throughout the area have closed for today as the winter storm is upon us. Some schools closed already on Wednesday. The town of Sheboygan is under a snow emergency until 3pm Friday with no parking on any town roads. Sgt. Matt Spence, of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, said as the snow began early this morning, things got progressively worse with more snow away from the lake and slushy conditions as you go east. Spence said there were three vehicles in the ditch along I-43 early this morning and a couple overnight. Spence said early this morning that if motorists slow down they should have no trouble getting where they need to go. However, he says that will change as the day wears on.
