MADISON, WI (WHBL) - Although the deer kill statewide was down 7 percent during the just completed deer hunt, hunters in Sheboygan County did better. Numbers compiled by the DNR indicate there were one thousand six-hundred thirty-one deer taken in Sheboygan County…a 9 percent increase over last year. Hunters bagged 622 bucks…up 11 percent from last year. There were also one thousand nine antlerless deer taken, and that count was up 8 percent. It was the same story in neighboring counties. Manitowoc up 22 percent…Calumet up 11 percent…Fond du Lac County up 22 percent.
