SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County Supervisors approved bonding for their five year capital improvement plan Tuesday evening.  Wednesday, on Sheboygan’s Morning News,  County Administrator Adam Payne said the number of significant projects the county needs to take on forced them to approve bonding above a self-imposed limit set in 2003.  Instead of bonding up to four million next year, the county will bond 14.5 million dollars.

County Board Chairman Roger Te Stroete said the biggest cost will be for the radio emergency response system.  The over nine million dollar project will see new equipment, new radios, and upgrades on towers.  Other major projects include combining dispatch centers, remodeling of law enforcement offices and the health and human services building, and a lab at UW-Sheboygan.

The cost on county taxpayers for the additional bonding will be six dollars on a $150,000 home.
