TOWN OF HERMAN, WI (WHBL) - Two people suffered non-incapacitating injuries due to a two vehicle accident in north central Sheboygan County Friday evening.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 8:55 p.m. at the intersection of Garton Road and Bridgewood Road in the Town of Herman west of Howards Grove. It is believed a Chevy Silverado, traveling north on Bridgewood, driven by 54-year-old Steven Koeppler of Elkhart Lake, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, causing it to be struck by an Oldsmobile Bravada driven by 33-year-old Bradley Klahn of Sheboygan Falls, as it was traveling east on Garton.
Both vehicles spun out into a nearby field and the Oldsmobile started on fire, but both drivers were able to exit their vehicles. The Howards Grove fire department put out the fire, while village first responders and with Orange Cross assisted in transporting the drivers to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment.
The sheriff’s department said Koeppler was cited for failure to yield causing bodily harm.
