TOWN OF LYNDON, WI (WHBL) - Emergency crews were busy overnight with a fire near Cascade that injured one person.
According to Lieutenant Jason Liermann of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, dispatch received word around 11:53 p.m. Friday of a box-style van on fire on Rock Road in the Town of Lyndon east of Cascade. Cascade Fire Department personnel responded and were able to extinguish the fire.
Liermann says there was one person at the fire scene who was trying to put it out when they arrived, but suffered burns in the process. Cascade First Responders and Plymouth Ambulance treated the person at the scene before they were transferred to St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
The incident remains under investigation.
