SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Despite a slightly higher unemployment rate in June, there were more people working in Sheboygan County last month than the month before.
The latest figures from the Department of Workforce Development show there were 58,500 people working in the Sheboygan metro area last month. That’s 200 more than in May and 1300 more than a year ago.
The monthly report shows the unemployment rate for the county went up 3-tenths to 6.4 percent in June while the city rate jumped 4-tenths to 8 percent.
