SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A human body was found floating off the Sheboygan shoreline Monday morning.
Sheboygan Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Chad Broeren said their Water Safety Unit was informed by a recreation boater around 10:15 a.m. of a suspicious object floating in Lake Michigan about one mile east of Blue Harbor Resort. The unit and the Sheboygan County Dive/Rescue Team, both out on the lake for training, were able to retrieve the human remains and bring it to shore.
An investigation is ongoing including identification of the body. Broeren said more information on this incident and investigation may be released Tuesday at the earliest.
