SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department was busy taking part in the most recent "Click It or Ticket" campaign. Between May 20 and June 2, law enforcement agencies across the country increased enforcement of potential safety belt violations. In Sheboygan County, there were 289 traffic stops resulting in 65 seatbelt violations and 38 speed violations. There were 108 additional citations issued for OWIs, licensing and registration violations. The department did also issue 180 warnings for various infractions. In Wisconsin last year, over 105-thousand citations were issued for seatbelt violations.
