MADISON, WI (WHBL) - State Senator Joe Leibham of Sheboygan was in Madison early this morning preparing for final budget discussions in the Joint Finance Committee beginning tomorrow.  He said that the committee's work should be completed either by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.  From there, it will be presented to the full state Legislature for its discussion and approval.  It will then have to be signed by Governor Scott Walker by the end of the month.

Leibham was on Sheboygan’s Morning News this morning and said one major item of discussion has been the size of the income tax cut.  He says he’s confident that they can cut taxes in a responsible way.  He wants to see adequate funding for good government programs and services, and done in a way where it does not create a structural deficit the state will have to pay over years to come.

The full Liebham interview from this morning can be found with the link above.
