SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan Area School District will be hosting a community presentation this evening to describe what possible impact the next state budget will have on them. The event will take place at the Horace Mann Middle School auditorium, starting at 6 p.m.
Superintendent Joe Sheehan says the event will feature John Pertl, a representative from the state Department of Public Instruction Division for Finance and Management, who will discuss what impact the state budget will have on public education, with a focus on the Sheboygan district.
The proposed state budget might increase funding for public districts over the next two years. There is also the potential expansion of the private school voucher program that could include the Sheboygan district.
