Sheboygan County Approved New Bonding

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors approved new bonding for funding future projects Tuesday evening.  The 22 members present voted in favor of issuing 9.59-million dollars in general obligation promissory notes; eight-million of that is new while the rest is refinanced old notes.

County Administrator Adam Payne said it is all for implementation of the county’s five-year capital improvement plan.  Projects the bonding will fund include emergency response communications in the sheriff's department, road construction, maintenance of current county buildings and offices, and improvements to the Old Plank Trail.

As for the interest rate, the county will pay 1.16-percent, one of the lowest in history.
