SULLIVAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan Area continues to be under a flood watch for the rest of the day today.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Tim Halbach says some parts of the area have gotten some much needed rain, and they haven't seen anything dangerous just yet. "We haven't seen anything that's pushing flash flooding at this point, but this rain is expected to redevelop this afternoon and evening, so we still have the potential for some flooding coming in for later on today." Some of the heavier rain falls came in Random Lake which got 2.7 inches of rain. The total was around 1.6 inches in Sheboygan.

Halbach reminds people not to drive on flooded roads. He says you never know exactly how deep that water is when you're looking at it from a driver's seat. "A lot of people end up drowning when they drive into flooded waters like that, so just best to go in a different direction to go where you need to be."

The flood watch continues through 1 am tomorrow morning.
