SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Green Bay man is under arrest for allegedly breaking into a Wilson business this week.

47-year-old Shane Williams faces one count each of burglary and criminal damage to property.

Deputies were called out to C and R Siding around 7 am on Wednesday for a report that the padlock had been cut off the main gate and that the door to the main office had been opened. Deputies reviewed security footage, and say they saw Williams entering the business around 3:30 that morning. The footage allegedly shows Williams using bolt cutters to break the padlock. Williams then allegedly entered the offices using keys and stole several hundred dollars in cash from a safe and a power tool.

The owner of the business told deputies he'd recently fired Williams, and that Williams still had keys to the building.

Deputies executed a search warrant on Williams's apartment in Green Bay and took him into custody. They say he first denied entering the business, but then allegedly admitted to going into the places that deputies saw him enter on the video.

Williams is free on a $500 cash bond, and will be back in court later this month for a preliminary hearing.
