SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is under arrest in connection with a domestic violence incident.
27-year-old Darryl Riley faces numerous charges, including strangulation, disorderly conduct, threatening a witness, ten counts of bail jumping, and driving a vehicle after revocation.
According to a criminal complaint, police were called out last Wednesday for a report of a domestic disturbance and reports that a man was taking locks off of doors. While en route, police were informed that the disturbance had turned physical.
The victim in the case told police that Riley had just been in the house, and was angry over a broken window inside the home. She told officers that he started getting physical when she tried to dial 911. He allegedly took the victim outside, broke her phone and then slammed her into the ground by her neck. Police says she eventually escaped by biting him on the arm.
Riley is in jail on a $3,000 cash bond, and will be back in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
