SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - You can catch some thrilling air displays and see some historical planes this weekend in with the Amazing Air Clinic at the Aviation Heritage Center.
Director John Jon Helminiak says it's going to be a great time! "You're going to have a chance to meet the pilots and mingle with them, get a close up look of the flying as they go by. Get the pancake breakfast every morning, there's a lunch served at noon." The Air Clinic is a special event, because the show is featuring some very special planes. "We've got pilots coming in from all over the country with very very valuable Korean and Vietnam era military jets as well as some T-28s and other piston powered aircraft."
The Heritage Center has partnered with a number of those pilots, who are using Sheboygan Memorial Airport in order to keep up on their qualifications for their planes. "We allow them to use our facility to do their training session and to do their training flights, and in turn they honor us by bringing their planes here and doing an air show on Sunday when their training is over." You can also come out for a chance to ride in a World War 2 era bomber, and much more.
The show continues today and tomorrow from 10 am to 5 pm.
