SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- The search for three suspects in an early Monday morning homicide is over.
Police say they took three people into custody Monday afternoon. Those suspects are 22-year-old Donovan Cotter, 27-year-old Patrick Evans and 31-year-old Candace DeBlaey. They're suspected of being part of the fatal stabbing of 38-year-old Phillip Spell of Sheboygan.
Police were called just before 3:00 am on Monday for a report of a stabbing on the 1200 block of St. Clair Avenue just before 3:00 am. When police arrived, they found one person stabbed and another person who'd been struck by a vehicle. Reports from the scene forced police to get into a tactical situation and try to blockade off the area to look for the three suspects.
Police caught up with the three suspects in Milwaukee on Monday afternoon, and took them into custody with the help of US Marshals and the West Allis Police Department.
No further information has been released at this time. Police were not immediately available for comment.
