SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing things over the weekend.

48-year-old Daniel T Widucki is charged in separate cases with theft and burglary.

According to the criminal complaints, police were first called in the afternoon on the 4th of July for a report of a stolen bike. The victim told police that he'd gone inside a gas station on the 900 block of Indiana Avenue and left his bike outside. When he came back out it was gone, and an attendant told officers that Widucki was the one who'd ridden off on it.

Police started questioning Widucki about the bike, and he claimed to have no knowledge about any bikes that were stolen. While that interview was going on, officers say they reviewed surveillance footage from the store that allegedly showed Widucki riding away with the bike. He then allegedly told police he'd sold the bike to somebody for beer money, but couldn't remember who bought it.

Police were then called the next day for a report of a burglary earlier in the day on the 4th. A woman living on the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue told police someone had come into her house and stolen a pair of Air Jordans, a pair of gardening gloves, and some gardening hose. A neighbor told police he'd followed a person he said came out of the house earlier that day with some items in a bag, and followed him to a local grocery store. Police say they identified Widucki from some photographs the neighbor had taken while following him.

Widucki remains in custody on a $2,000 cash bond and will be back in court for a preliminary hearing July 13th.
